Jordenne The BFG Frobscottle and Whizzpopper
Deep in a cave filled with all sorts of BFG machines, stood Sophie and the giant. “Do you want some frobscottle?” asked the BFG as he was picking some from the cupboard. “I suppose I will have a little sip,” said Sophie nervously.
Giving Sophie a little sip he said, “Isn’t it beautiful,” with a big smiley face. “Wow!” Sophie said, feeling as if she were flying in a bathtub with silvery wings, “I really think frobscottle is scrumtiously yummy”!

I am making movie 2
On Sunday night at 6 o'clock we went to school.
On the bus I sat with my friends and talked. I was so bored when we were still on the bus waiting, it took us more then 30 minutes to get to the museum. It was so tiring that I was about to fall asleep. Drawing on foggy bus windows helped us stay awake.
Once we arrived we went inside and joined the line for elevator. We were going to the very top of the museum to show our movie to everyone and hopefully win a prize.
The awards presenters were Charlie from What Now and Robyn Malcolm from Outrageous Fortune.
We first watched the shortlist to see which movies might make the finals. It went on and on until our movie comes up. I was soooooo bored sitting down and watching these movie from other schools. Not all of them were interesting.
Then Charlie from What Now said, “Now it is the shortlist from year 5 up to year 8.” All the movies from other school showed, we waited and waited then there was our movie - Don’t Forget your Roots. As Charlie announced the finalist I was crossing my fingers. First there was a movie from St Marys called Saying Goodbye, it was pretty sad. I crossed my fingers really hard then he called out, “Don’t Forget your Roots from Point England School!” we all shouted! We watched it and it was sooo cool. Next there was another movie called Utu, it was a little bit disgusting
because one boy was shot and blood came out of his mouth.
Charlie then called out the winner. The screen showed the Utu picture, so we all felt quite upset, but luckily Charlie said, “Don’t Forget your Roots”. “Wow!” I was so proud of us because we really worked hard on that movie.
We ran up the red carpet and went on to the stage, then Rocky and Gloria said their speech. When they finished their speech we ran back and sit down.
The awards kept on going and going until Charlie announced the supreme winner. Finally it was time for the supreme award.
Charlie said, “Our History, Our Heritage from Point England School.” Yeah! We were so proud of them.
The awards ceremony was over, we went out side and hopped back on the bus, back to school and home. had entered a movie competition at the museum. I was so excited and nervous because I thought we were going to lose. We all went inside and said the prayer, then Mrs Tele’a called out our names to see who had made it. When Mrs Tele’a finished calling out our names we went on the bus.

Swimming
When I was swimming my eyes were stinging red from putting my head under the water. They were really sore from chlorine in the pool. My favorite time was when we had a swimming competition. In my race I bet three boys!

Using Speech in a Paragraph
Taking off with a huge ball of blue and white shiny lights, Jennifer screamed. ‘‘Are you crazy I want to go home’’. Doc laughed ‘‘Are you scared? Don’t worry my adventures never fail and I never give up.” Marty was listening to Jennifer and hugged her close. Doc said,’’Hold on tight’’ as they landed in the future. The End

Using Speech in a Paragraph
Doc quickly reversed his car as the wheels were screeching. They all were crammed in the Delorean like a family.Marty was very confused, he said ‘’Hey Doc, we better back up, we don’t have enough road to get to 88.’’ Jennifer was still, frozen like a statue, and wouldn't even say one word. She was holding Marty unable to know what to do ‘’Roads’’. ‘’Where we’re we going we don’t need roads,’’ Doc replied, as he adjusted his glasses. The Delorean flew like a bird with blue and white shiny lights. Away they went, back to the future. The End.

Camera
In 1826 a man in France took the first photograph. He took the photo using a metal plate covered in bitumen .
Then 12 years later a man called Jacques Daguerre improved his camera by using a copper plate coated with silver, instead of a metal plat coated with bitumen. Jacques Daguerre made his camera’s lens work like a telescope.
In 1888 George Eastman made a small hand held camera, using celluloid film. In 1990 a box camera called ‘‘ the Brownie’’ was invented by the Eastman Kodak Company. From 1920-1940 better cameras were made with expensive lens in Germany. Most cameras are now made in Japan.

Our Friends From University
Our Friends From Wake Forest University in U.S.A came to learn about us. There were 9 students, they came from Winston Salem. Each students have to go in each classes. One came in our class her name was Meagan. She was a very nice person. They stayed here for ten days. She helped some students in our class. When I first saw her she was like an angel. It was time for them to go home in U.S.A. I really missed Meagan, I hugged her really tight so I remember her
. Good luck, I said.

The Magical Land
In a magical land.
Arriving in a magical land me and my family went to relax and enjoy ourselves.
Our fist activity was to go kayaking. As I jumped on to the boat I splashed into the water.
As I was in the water my stomach rumbled. When I went to get my money to buy some food, the woman who owned this magical land, told me, “food is all for free. Everything my heart desired.” Then I went to my bedroom to look at all the fish around me.
Then I went to the pool to relax and watch some movies. I called a servant to get me some ice-cream. Me and my family were so grateful when we went there. I felt like staying there forever. The first day I was so bored. Then the excitement grew and I was so happy. Then I went to the hot sand to make some sandcastles. It was fun being here. It was the best week of my life.
Sentence Beginnings
For writing room13 are practicing sentence beginnings. We had to pair ourselves up and add on to a phrase with different endings and beginnings. Our phrase was invented the spaceship! We had to think creatively and discuss our what we had added on the phrase. My group had to think very carefully but it all worked out in the end.
Here are the final sentence we came up with.
1. The man invented the spaceship was a genius.
2. Succssesful business men invented the spaceship while they were supposed to be working.
3. My father invented the spaceship in our back yard.
