Rube Goldberg Machine

This is our Rube Goldberg Machine that we spent all day making! Here's a quick snap of what we did, stay tuned for an explanation.

My marble run

On Friday morning Miss King told us to make a marble run. The first time when Miss King told us that we a gonna do some marble run she told us that we have to bring some stuff at home. Miss King told us told to choose any friend you want to be in your team for marble run. I chose Sela,Mary Thea and jordenne which is me. When we done our marble run we change what didn’t work, the thing that we changed is that, the first time when we done our marble run we put Thea’s train track on the floor. Then Thea had an idea she explained to us we should put her train track on the medium table. Mary was tapping and me and Thea were doing the domino and Sela was testing the marble. My team was so amazing because we were cooperating together as a team. We tested our marble run and it didn’t work we tested again and it still didn’t work and we kept on testing and testing until it work. Then the part when we tested again and it worked, we were cheering because it really worked. We told Miss King that we done it.Then Miss King recorded and it worked again, and then Miss King told us to put it on our blog.

Tornado

Albany North Shore

Yesterday at 3.00 there was a Tornado in NZ at Albany. It was a disaster with lots of damage,the Tornado had a explosive power and a fierce wind. All the roof from all the houses came down by the Tornado,and all the trampoline flew up on peoples houses and all cars were uplifted. Tornado noise was so horrible like a jet-engine descending. The Tornado was like a scary thing that people in Albany had ever have before. All the people in Albany were . It was a disaster and lots of damage,the Tornado had a explosive power and a fierce wind. All the roof from all the houses came down by the Tornado,and all the trampoline flew up on peoples houses and all cars were uplifted. Tornado noise was so horrible like a jet-engine descending. The Tornado was like a scary thing that people in Albany had ever have before. When the Tornado was gone some people died from the huge Tornado.

Straw Tower.

Early in the morning room thirteen had to build a straw tower. First we watched a video about kids building straw tower, we watched it so we can get ideas from them. When we finished watching the video from America, Miss King told us to pick six teams to plan how to make a straw tower.Then we come down and sit on the mat to get our materials like straws and tape.My team was Mary, Chyna, Iron,Lesieli,Sela and Jordenne witch is me.Miss King gave us 75 straw to make our straw tower. My team thought it wasn’t a competition, then Miss King told us it was a compitision. I was so frightend when she said it was a competition.
First we made a square at the bottom to build it all the way up top.Then Mary had an idea, she said someone should help her because she is doing the top one and I do the bottom. Then Sela wanted to help Mary to build the top one, and Iron wanted to help me and Mary because she cuts the tape for all of us. Chyna and Lesieli wanted to help.We tried to make it big and it was so crazy. Mary’s one was straight and our one was a little bit bad but at least we worked as a team. Our one tried to balance but it nearlly fell. When miss king told us to take it on the blue table me and Mary tried to hold it but it kept on falling down on the ground. Me and Mary put it on the blue table and sat down on the mat.The boy’s one was the tallest one,our one was bad and crazy. Miss King told us the winner, she told us it was the boy’s which is Jabez,Uili,Levi,Shalom,Robert and Rocky.

Year 5/6 Camp.

Outside room13 went to see the 5/6 camp. We walked around the field to learn what are we gonna do next year when we go camp. First we went to see the helpers. They told us all the thing that year 5/6 eats. The we went to walk around the tent's, there were lot's of interesting colours to see.We went to see the camp fire. They told us that they are cooking damper and sultanas. They have lot's of yummy food there.

We went for a rest at the marquee meeting tent. If it was wet weather for them they would use this tent.They are so lucky that they can go to swimarama and kayaking.Then we went to look at the interesting tent.We went to peek at the estimated numbers on the tents when they forget which tent to sleep in .

Then we went to the camp fire to see what are they eating.They told us that they are eating damper and sultanas food. When we saw their food it's makes me hungry.They are so lucky that they have yummy food

Then we ran back to class and we wrote about it. I am so gonna be excited when I go to camp next year.When it's next year I am gonna bring of some of my clothes and my sleeping bags for camp next year.

Capture the Flag

Diving for the trophy,team four scurried like little rats, all over the field.
Team tried hard to distract each other. As we dashed over the line,our
hands waved in triumph.

Responsibility

Mr Jacobsen taught us how to sing Responsibility, we sang because we had to work together as
a team.
