Auckland Champs for Rugby at Eden Park.

Winning the Final for rugby. The 2012 Auckland Champs ran happily out New Zealand's biggest
stadium Eden park, finishing playing Viscount. We got a prize from a lady and a man who works there.

As they gave it to us, I just felt so proud of us winning the final against a really hard team.
Lucky me I got a try!! I was the winger, so I was fast. Getting a try just felt like freedom.

We went back to school, and told everyone and Mr Burt. He was very proud of the true champions.
So we got change and we all went to our coach Miss V and shouted "THANK YOU MISS V
FOR BEING OUR COACH!!!!!

She felt very happy. Miss V said in an exciting voice"Group hug". So we hugged Miss V
and went back to class. I might play for next year!!!!

Using speech

Miss Kings:
“Why are you going?” My friend asked me. “I have to travel the world, I want to see everything.” I replied. “Will you ever come back? I might miss you.” he said. “Probably. Maybe in a few years. I’ll email.” I said to him.

Jordenne using speech and adding more detail:
Sitting on the sand looking at the wave going back and forward. Sammy, my best friend asked me in a sad voice, “Jason, why are you going”. I stared at his brown eyes, and said “I want to travel the world, and see everything”. He looked down and felt sad, and asked again, “Will you come back? I just feel so sad letting go my best friend”he said. His eyes was watery, and I was too nervous to say no. So I said”Probably”. I hugged Sammy and said”Maybe in a few years. I’ll email you ok”. I said to him.

My 10th Birthday

On the 23rd of September was my birthday. Do you know why I'm excited, well I'm excited in all of my birthdays. But today I have double DIGITS!!!!, "YAY!!!".
But especially, my mum is here for work and my birthday.

Lucky me, my birthday was on a Sunday. Because that's when all of my family comes here for church.

There is like 3 or 4 people in my church who has the same birthday as me, like my friends Sias mum. Alofia, and Jordan Mamoe. Raeleens and Cyrus brother.

Usally some of us has our birthday on a school day, and we don't have time to celebrate. So we just all come together as a family on a Sunday and celebrate their birthdays. My uncle asked me, "So Jo, when was your real birthday". I replied, "Today is my real birthday".

Walking to the kitchen I saw heaps of balloons of food!! They looked delicious! I sat down and the cake was in front of me. "Woah" I said. Singing Happy Birthday to me I felt happy. My aunty
took a photo of me and my mum.

Basketball

"Noo"! This was the last day of basketball and I was sad. Every Thursday mornings we always go there. When we get to the courts, we always see two coaches. Their names are Tai and Brook.
Tai and Brook were very good at coaching us. Because they taught us some really cool and really interesting skills.

I am going to miss basketball because it was fun and exciting to play. My favourite part of playing this amazing sport is bouncing the ball, defending and shooting it in the hoop. Since they taught us heaps of cool skills, I'm sort of pretty good at playing basketball.

THANK YOU TAI AND BROOKLYN FOR TEACHING US HOW TO PLAY BASKETBALL!!!!!!!

Farewell Mrs Verry

In our school their is a queen. She is the queen of bling! Her name is Mrs Verry.
Our teacher, neighbor especially our kind loving friend. She was retiring!!!
We felt really sad.

On Friday was the day for her to leave. She retired because of her knee was broken. She had an operation. It was a very special day for her because we did a dance for her retirement.
There was a Samoan dance and the Junior Pounamu did a haka. I was in the Samoan dance.

First Mr Burt came up, and told us about our friend Mrs Verry. He said that she was a SUPER GRAN!!!

As Mr Burt ended his story, Mr Jacobsen came and we sang a song that says "I love you". We sang it and when it was time to say I love you we all pointed to Mrs Verry.
She was really HAPPY!!!

"Iiiiii Loooove Youuuuuuuuu!" That was the end of the song. It was a very good song for her. It was time for the Junior Pounamu to perform.

All the Samoan girls were excited because we were next. We were all ready with our clothes. This Samoan dance represents all the Samoans and saying goodbye to Mrs Verry.

Our performance started with a speech. Toreka was the last one, as she ended her speech they all went to give the necklaces to Mrs Verry. I was in the middle of the first line. This is a video of the Samoan girls.

WE WILL MISS YOU MRS VERRY!!!!

A champion athlete called Richard Whitehead is representing his country Great Britain. Richard Whitehead is an amputee, so he is running with the prosthetics legs. Successfully, he won the 100m sprint in the paralympics. Jumping up and down waving his flag to the crowd, he made his country very happy!!!

Seated Volleyball at the London 2012 Paralympic Games

"Wow", those ladies are very cleaver. I thought they would be on wheel chairs, but actually they sit down. This sport is not called"Indoor Volleyball" it is"Seated Volleyball".

The ladies are sitting down because they have no legs. Some of them has fake legs and some have just one leg. The referee and the others with real legs made the net lower so they can reach.

It will be pretty hard for me. Maybe it's hard for them too, because they have to move around.
So here is a movie of it how it goes.

Editing and Re-crafting Aldora's Cross country story

Today we practised re-crafting a piece of writing. The first paragraph belongs to Aldora and the second one belongs to Mao and I.

“Cross country, Cross country” is the worst event ever. I would never dream about cross country. Today is cross country and I am not feeling good. But I  just want to support my team TE ARAWA.  “GO TE ARAWA” I said quietly to myself.

Jordenne and Mao's
“Cross country”! This is the worst event ever. Why would I dream about this? I know I will just have to do it anyway, and try not to come last.
